Make your own UV detector bracelet to take home to continue to detect UV rays. Total Solar Eclipse: A Stellar Friendship Story by Jayme Sandberg is the perfect compliment to this program. DIY Viewers: We should never look directly at the sun, but we can view the sun using a variety of objects. View the sun (weather permitting) with a variety of low-tech and high-tech objects and then use recycled materials to engineer your own solar viewer to take home. We will also have a copy of Totality! An eclipse Guide in Rhyme and Science by Jeffrey Bennett to round out this hands-on experience. All learners will take home a pair of ISO-compliant eclipse glasses and a voucher to visit the Cleveland Museum of Natural History to deepen their learning by joining us for a special show in the Nathan and Fannye Shafran Planetarium any time before the eclipse on April 8th, 2024.
